The Swells are (left to right):

Matt Kleinschmit: guitar

Mark Weisbard: keyboards

Terry Canade: lead vocals, guitar

 Dick Watson: bass, backing vocals

Kevin Thompson: drums

The Swells strive to craft bespoke tunes about admired people, places and situations with dashes of harmony and doses of memento mori.

The Swells converged in Northern Illinois circa 2016 at the Wilmette Harbor Club. They have not ventured far from there to play in public. But they continue to consider options.

Almost all of the band members maintain their day jobs.

The Swells recognize, remember, channel, allude to name, and riff off of the following artists on their debut album A Drift and in their yet to be released songs:

The Jam, Bruce Springsteen, Talking Heads, The Ramones, Flash and the Pan, Buffalo Tom, Nada Surf, Queen, REM, CSNY, Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, David Bowie, Rush, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Klaatu, 10cc, John Mellencamp, The Beach Boys, Cheap Trick, Bill Hailey and the Comets, Nirvana, Soundgarden, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Teenage Fanclub, Ludwig Von Beethoven, Wolfgang Mozart, City Boy, The Strangers, Jon Lord, Booker T, Ray Manzarek, Brother Jeff Mathis & Mark “Doc” Holladay.

Thanks.   We heard you.
